My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name Toffee, 1.5 years old Breed Poodle Adoption fee $350 Female

Who’s a tiny little bundle of love?  Me, that’s who!  I’m Toffee.  I’m named after my beautiful caramel colored, non-shedding coat.  I’m looking for a new home.  The poodle people are nice to me with their daily walks and all, but I want to be back in a real home.  I’m somewhat ok with other dogs, but I prefer to be the star of the show at home. Other dogs are ok when we’re on walks, but I want to be the only dog in the house.  I’m fine with kids, but since I’m so small, I could easily get stepped on.  Cats don’t bother me and maybe that’s because we’re about the same size.

When I first got here, walks made me very nervous and I often requested to be carried part of the way.  I’ve come a long ways since then.  Now I strut my stuff on a walk.  I do have a tendency to bark sometimes, but us little girls need to make ourselves heard.  While walking can be great, car rides are not as much.  My preference is to be home with my person.  That sounds wonderful to me!

My photos don’t show just how cute I really am.  I just can’t stop moving.  Apparently that leads to less than ideal photos.  Oh, well.  Come see me in person instead.  Then you can appreciate all of my cuteness!  So please contact the poodle people and let them know you can’t wait to meet Toffee.  I’ll be here waiting for you.

Dogs are vaccinated, microchipped  and spayed/neutered before adoption.
The necessary first step to inquire about any dog, is to complete the NCPR Adoption Interest Form. Once we receive the NCPR Adoption Interest Form, a volunteer will contact you promptly. We need your information to match you with the perfect companion. NorCal Poodle Rescue places dogs within northern California only.
