Panda, happy girl's Story...
PANDA is a 2 year old black female lab mix, between 50 and 60 pounds. She is a nice girl, friendly with other dogs and people, and allows handling all over. She is super bouncy and excitable when I first get home, but settles down quickly. She "smiles" a lot. She is totally potty trained--in the house and in the kennel! She loves to be as close to people as possible and is kind of like a small child...she sleeps in my room just fine until about three. Then she needs to cuddle--she jumped up on the bed and slept with her head on my side the rest of the night. Panda wants to play, but doesn't know fetch...she chases the ball but doesn't bring it back. She wants to play with dogs and plays very well with my Gracie (or tries to...Gracie doesn't play back). She eats well, takes treats gently and walks nicely on the leash (though getting it on her is tough because she is soooo excited!). She will make a perfect companion for some lucky family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Panda, happy girl, a Sacramento Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
