Misty, a 50 lb Golden Retriever/ Aussie mix is looking for her new home. Misty is housebroken, knows some basic commands, walks well on a leash, and is low energy indoors. She does well with dogs, although she can be protective of her pack when around other dogs. Misty cannot live with cats due her having a bit of a prey drive. A fence also must be high enough that she cannot jump since she will jump a fence to get to a cat or to get cuddles from a friendly looking stranger. Misty also would be fine with school aged children (no super young kids). **Please note that our dogs may be located in foster homes around NJ and the NYC area. It would be a great help to us if you can pick up your dog from transport, which is centrally located from Northern NJ and NYC, or foster home.**

Our adoption fee is $475. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses.
All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where it is kept for a minimum of 2 weeks for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. After the 2 week quarantine time they are spayed/neutered and fully vetted. They are then placed on the website. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested in it, we make arrangements with the waiting foster to pick the animal up from the airport to then meet with the potential adopter.
