Max's Story...
This litter of Border Collie/Lab puppies are in our jail program where the female trustees care for puppies while we vet and adopt them out. They begin basic manners training and puppy pad training. We have been doing this for several years now and the adopters of our "PADDLE" (Prisoners And Dogs Developing Life Experiences) have had wonderful experiences with the pups. So much so that we have repeat adopters often!

These cute pups are about 9 weeks old and weigh in around 8 pounds...of fluff! They are adorable and very laid back. They like to play but are also quite the lazy group!

If you'd like to add a pup to your family please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out an online application. The pups are being fostered in West TN and will be transported once their adoption is finalized.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Hagerstown Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
