Mona is a very sweet 4 year old little lady who is just barely starting to learn what the great big world is about. Mona knew nothing more than an over crowded backyard with a bunch of other dogs. In her foster home she has learned that being inside is so much more fun! Mona shares her foster home with two other resident dogs, a Lab/Kelpie Mix and a Chihuahua.
We believe that Mona needs a quiet home without children and she would probably benefit from living with another confident dog. Her cat skills are unknown but given her sweet disposition a mellow cat might be ok. If you are patient, loving, and looking for a sweet dog companion Mona may be your girl! Mona is potty and crate trained.

Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial medical and other costs in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we ask for a donation of $250.00 for Mona.

If you are interested in adopting Mona, please complete our online adoption application at http://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process.html. One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area.

About Grateful Dogs Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Grateful Dogs Rescue was founded in 1990; its mission is to rescue dogs not made available for adoption at San Francisco Animal Care and Control and other local shelters through no fault of their own. Rather than letting these dogs be euthanized, Grateful Dogs saves as many as possible by fostering these dogs until a loving home is found.

Grateful Dogs Rescue is always in need of new foster homes!  You can make a difference by fostering. The number of dogs we can save is dependent on having foster parents to care for them until they find their forever homes.

Our Adoption Process...

The Grateful Dogs Rescue adoption procedure is designed to find a good match between the dog and adopter. Our goal is a happy human and happy dog in a "forever home." The adoption procedure includes an application, interview, home inspection, and an adoption fee. The adoption fee helps to cover spay/neuter, shots and other medical care given before the dog is made available for adoption.
