Liza's Story...
Just arriving in Rhode Island is Liza! Sweet 4-5 month old Lab mix puppy girl. Effusive as Lab pups are, but sweet and cuddly as well. She needs to jump a little less but sits very sweetly as well, is not overly vigorous nor particularly mouthy at this time and is a gentle girl. She has a soft temperament and will be a great family dog, if a little stubborn on housebreaking. Lab puppies can be slow learners being easily distracted and having the attention span of a gnat, but are a sociable joy to raise into responsible adults. This is a very sweet, sensitive and well meaning puppy. No apartments please, as she is a bit of a barker. Applications are available on our southpawsexpress.org website, or via contacting Lucy at maramuser@gmail.com. Her adoption fee is $450.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Liza, a West Warwick Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in West Warwick, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in West Warwick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Warwick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Warwick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Warwick paves the way for another one to be saved.
