KAYCE is a Chihuahua/Mtn FeistX 1.5yo, date of birth: ~November 22, 2015. Kayce(Black and brn brindle) weighs 11lbs. Kayce is a sweet, a bit timid and independent yet very open to gentle, kind humans when she learns to trust.
She was rescued from an outdoor kennel where she and her sister, Leisel, had lived their entire lives. Howlin4spirit rescued and placed their daddy just 2 months prior to these 2 cutie-pie's arrival at Howlin4Spirit. They were timid and scared, never having had much interaction with humans. But, are warming up nicely, and appreciating being a more integral part of our little pack, and realizing that humans can be kind, loving and gentle and have THE MOST EXCELLENT TREATS in their hands and are willing to share them with scared little dogs(especially compared to their past diet of cheap dog food and bread).
Howlin4Spirit is looking for a kind WOMAN/retired with time and lots of love and patience to share with either/both of them. They would be best suited for a home with their own safe fenced-in back yard, and a tie-out cable line(for Liselle), Kayce is already coming to us, kissing our hands, always searching for yummy treats and a loving hug. We are working on our leash walking, slowly but surely.

These pups are in and will remain in foster care in Rutherfordton, NC until their fur-ever adoptive person('s) application can be processed and approved.
Upon request, we will be happy to send you more videos and pictures of these pups interacting with one another and other H4S buddies, to help you get a better understanding of their personality and activity level and how they interact with their people and other pups.

Adoption fee: $95 includes spay, micro-chip, Parvo-Distemper, Lepto, Bordatella and 1 yr Rabies vaccinations, parasite-free, current on monthly heart worm and flea/tick prevention, Martingale collar and leash, and current health certificate (issued within 3 days prior to transport).
Where there is a scent hound(FEIST IS A SCENT HOUND) being considered for adoption, & in homes where children reside or will be visiting, a secured(not electric) fenced-in yard is required OR NEVER allowed off-leash.
All potential adopters are required to be at least 25 yrs old and complete the application below, at your earliest convenience, to help secure the pup of your choice!
Upon receipt of your application, we will acknowledge your application in an email and immediately send out a questionnaire to your 3 personal references.
To help your chances of adopting the pup of your 1st choice, be sure to contact/ask all references to reply at their most earliest convenience. Also, give your vet's office permission to release your information to Howlin4Spirit. We will be contacting everyone within 2 business days.
Upon approval of this adoption, & to hold the dog/pup of your choice, we require the pup's adoption fee to be sent to our secure PayPal.com acct at: howlin4spirit@gmail.com
Upon receipt of the adoption fee, we will send you the adoption contract and all pertinent information you will need to be ready for your pup's arrival, and reserve your pup's space on 'Happy Dogs' next available transport(SATURDAY delivery ONLY). Their transport fee is $100/both together to all points as far N as NYC and LI, and $125/both together to all points N of NYC as far as Manchester, NH and Albany/Syracuse, NY, to be paid directly to driver upon delivery.

Sometimes, for reasons beyond anyone's control, the adoption does not work out.

Adoption contributions are not refundable, for any reason.
