Betty's Story...
Betty is a sweet 3-year-old shepherd/boxer mix who loves other dogs. She's a big lover (well, 55 pounds) who always wants to snuggle or play. She's great with kids and dogs she has met in foster care. We are confident that she will do better in a home with a fur-sibling to hang out with. A fenced in yard is a huge plus because this girl loves to play fetch and run around all over.

Betty tested positive for heartworm, like many of the dogs we help from the south do. She will require three injections and about two months of rest before she can go back to normal. She does very well in her crate, so this will just be a bump in the road toward Betty's happy future. Underdog will cover the cost of this treatment.

Please don't hesitate to add this amazing girl to your family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Betty, a Madison Boxer/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Madison, or seeking a Boxer/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Madison.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Madison already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Madison breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Boxer/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Madison paves the way for another one to be saved.
