All dogs and puppies accepted into our rescue receive the finest vet care and psychological services we can provide. Our rescue and sanctuary is now located in Belleview, FL, with a foster homes in Lady Lake and Longwood. Please visit our website to learn more about our organization.

Our rescue consists of a group of dedicated volunteers that take German Shepherd Dogs into their homes and lives while the dogs and puppies are awaiting adoption. No salaries are paid to volunteers or anyone associated with the rescue. All funds collected go directly to the care of the dogs and puppies. We are in constant need of foster homes to allow us to save more dogs and puppies. Please consider being a foster home for a needy dog or puppy. You can request a foster application by Email us at

We are always seeking financial donations to allow us to provide more services for our dogs. One hundred percent of all donations are used to benefit the dogs and puppies. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit Florida Corporation.

About German Shepherd Rescue of Central Florida

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a non-profit Florida corporation operated totally by volunteers dedicated to finding forever loving homes for German Shepherd Dogs one dog at a time.

Our rescues live in temporary foster homes with loving families and treated like a member of the family while awaiting adoption.

We accept dogs from owner surrenders, animal control and animal shelters. Every dog or puppy is spayed or neutered, vaccinated appropriately, heartworm tested and receives a microchip before going to his or her forever home.

Dr. Terry Marie Curtis, a veterinarian and clinical behaviorist from UF is part of our team providing advice and treatment to dogs and puppies with psychological challenges. Dr. Peggy Fleming provides our dogs and puppies with holistic care. Dr. Jackson provides extensive comprehensive care to all our rescue dogs and puppies. We selected her because the rescue dogs and puppies respond better with women, at least initially. Dr. Michelle McCutcheon spays and neuters our dogs and puppies. We are grateful to her and the CARES Center for the excellent care provided each of our animals. Dr. McCutcheon makes the smallest incisions this rescue has witnessed and we have never had a challenge or infection since she started sterilizing our animals.

All adopters are asked to complete an adoption questionnaire on our web site at

Come Meet Our Pets...

We love showing off our dogs and puppies and do it by appointment only, Since we have a 10-acre sanctuary there is plenty of room to enjoy our animals.
