Arrival story: Star was found with one of her litter mates crossing a very busy intersection. A good samaritan stopped to help the puppies. He could not believe his eyes when he seen 2 puppies in the middle of the road. We are not sure if the puppies got out of someones yard or if they were dumped on the road side. They are safe now, but in need of a loving home.
Approximate age / weight: Star is approximately 7 Weeks old and weighs 3 lbs. She is a Boxer mix. We named her Star because she has a beautiful white star on her chest. Star is one lucky little girl.
Personality: Star is very sweet and loving. She cannot get enough attention. When let outside to go potty she immediately comes wright back to her foster moms side. She loves to be with people and all the attention she is now getting. She will make a family a very loving companion.
Forever home: Puppies are alot of work and they demand a lot of time and patience for them to become great companions. It is a life time commitment to adopt a puppy. They need a a lot of love and devotion. If you are able to provide a loving home please contact Star's foster mom.

To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.
