Pepper (who used to be Reese) came back to us cause her family could no longer keep her.  She is a sweet house cat that is no longer the shy kitten that she was.  She is still a beautiful cat, just a little bigger now.  If you would like to give Pepper a home, please let us know.  Pepper is now 4 years old.

---------------------------------------------------------

Reese is part of a litter of kittens that were born to a feral mother in a residential neighborhood. These kittens were born around 12.08.12, have been taken inside and are being socialized for adoption. They're still very timid, but are starting to show unique personalities. Reese is gray and white with gray ears.

We are in the process of vaccinating these kittens and are taking pre-adoption applications so that they will be ready to go asap. The adoption fee is $75. You can submit an application here: http://www.freewebs.com/desotopetlovers/catadoptionapplication.htm and someone will contact you as soon as possible.

About Desoto Animal Rescue Society

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and placement of unwanted, abandoned, and abused pets, giving them a second chance at a loving forever home. All animals taken in receive necessary medical care, vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.

We are not a shelter with a facility where you can visit our pets. All rescued pets live in our own homes, where they are evaluated and cared for until they find their ideal adoptive family. We carefully screen prospective homes and require all applicants to go through an adoption application process.

We are not affiliated with the Desoto County Animal Shelter or any governmental agency. We do not receive any taxpayer funds. We operate solely on donations and the revenue we generate from fundraising events. 100% of our incoming funds go directly towards the care of our animals and to pay our vet bills. All other expenses are paid for by our own volunteers.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

We've made it very easy for you to donate one time, set up a recurring payment/sponsorship or do a tribute for someone. Everything is on our website here: info@desotoanimalrescue.org

Come Meet Our Pets...

Please see our website for the locations and times of our Adoption Events. We occasionally have special events which we're unable to post on all sites.

Our Adoption Process...

All pets are up-to-date on routine vaccinations and are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. All dogs are tested heartworm negative and all cats are tested feline aids/feline leukemia negative. We require a pre-adoption application and a home visit. To help cover our veterinary costs, we ask for a $125 adoption donation for dogs and puppies and a $75 adoption donation for cats and kittens.
