My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone! My name is Nikki. I am a 9-11 month old sable German Shepherd. Everyone tells me I am beautiful. But you see I have one problem. Somehow I got my tail ripped off! OUCH...it hurts very bad! The kind people at Deacon's Hope took me to the vet right away cause I was hurting and scared. The vet was very nice to me and told me she would fix my tail! She said she will make me even MORE beautiful because I am special! My foster Mommy says I am special too because I was so well behaved at the vet even though I was in so much pain. I never tried to nip or bite and I even gave the vet tech a little smooch for being so kind to me!
I am a very friendly girl. I am very thin and only weigh 50 pounds right now but when I have enough good food I will get bigger. I am a little shy at first but I warm up quickly and will shower you with kisses! I like most other dogs if they are nice to me. I am very curious about cats and would probably do best without kitties in the home.
My surgery is scheduled for 6/15/07. I will need some time to recover but will be available for adoption soon. For more details about me or if you would like to sponsor a portion of my surgery please email my foster Mommy. There are a few other 'special' doggies here at DHR right now too and donations are needed to help cover our vetting!
With Lots Of Puppy Love,
Nikki

****UPDATE***
Nikki is doing very well and is now ready for adoption. She will need a special family who is willing to teach her and show her that humans are really good! She would benifit from obediance training and would do very well! She is very attentive and willing to learn. She only wishes to please her people. Nikki is a very pretty girl. She is adjusting well to losing her tail. She is VERY cute and now wiggles her whole body when she wags! Having a 'cropped' tail does not take away from this girls beauty! She is a cutie!
