Fred's Story...
Fred has short wire hair, long legs, small to medium size, about 18 to 20 lbs. Vet said about 6 to 8 mos. old. Very shy when he first meets you, but sweet and loves young 5+ aged children. Seems to be housebroken and has learned how to use the doggie door. He is doing very well at his foster's home; he is very puppy like he will need another dog to play with, an would b e great if we can have a stay at home mom too. Sweet sweet little guy, ok with most other dogs too. He is mellow for a young dog, doesn't bark a lot, very sweet. Would love a family who has a child or two, as he loves children.. You can meet him at our home in Oakley. SECURE FENCING REQUIRED for all of our dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fred, a Antioch Wirehaired Fox Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Wirehaired Fox Terrier for sale in Antioch, or seeking a Wirehaired Fox Terrier dog from a breeder in Antioch.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Antioch already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Antioch breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Wirehaired Fox Terrier breeders who help with Wirehaired Fox Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Antioch paves the way for another one to be saved.
