My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Miss Mia is the sleekest and prettiest black cat I've ever had. She checked into Camp from a life on the streets of East Nashville. She immediately began following her new human throughout the house, talking sporadically, always loving when a hand approached to pet her. Miss Mia definitely isnt the typically alley cat in that she is super friendly and loves to have her cheeks softly scratched followed by a couple of gentle belly rubs.

Having a new home with 3 foster kitty brothers and 1 foster kitty sister and 3 foster doggy sisters was an adjustment for Miss Mia, yet it took less than a month for her to be comfortable with all of them. Here are the details:

The dogs scared her at first, but that fear subsided when she realized the dogs are old, boring, and want nothing to do with her. If the dogs were young and playful and wanted to engage with Mia, she would run and hide in a quiet room.

In her current home, this room is a walk-in closet that has a shelf above clothing where a blanket is folded. She slept here for the first month, but now she sleeps on a cat tree in either the living room or the office.

Two of the boy kitties are her age. The orange/white boy she has had no issues with; he's a giant lover; they share the same cat tree, roll around in catnip together, and run around the house playfully. The black/white boy is a brat; he's mine & I love him, but a brat he is. He has chased her her from the beginning. Mia merely ran to the closet when he was too fresh for her good taste, thus there were no issues. Now that she has stopped running, they will chase each other, and while they don't fight, I think she would like life better without him in it. Mr. Munchy is the last of the boy kitties, and he is closer to 20 years old than not. Thus he and Mia get along just fine in that they have no interest in each other.

Her kitty foster sister is a tortoiseshell and she has the tortie-tude going in full force. Initially they were buddies, both curious and hanging out in the same room with occasional sniffing and no issues. Of late, my tortie has become stand-offish and does not want to play with Miss Mia.

Miss Mia is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, current on flea/tick preventative (Advantage Multi), and has tested negative for FIV and FLV. She weighs about 8 lbs. The vet guesses her age to be 1-2 years old and said she is in great shape.

Camp Kitties under no circumstances will be declawed. They are to be returned to CC3 if there are issues that lead the adopter to consider declawing. CC3's Adoption Contract prohibits declawing as well as any other cosmetic surgery.

Thank you for wanting to share your life and love with one of our babies! Our adoption fee is $40.
