Odin's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Odin's Story...
Odin is a 2 and half year old sable male. Very loving and laid back. Odin likes the company of other dogs and is a follower not a leader.

Odin was given drugs that were not safe for collies and has some neurological damage that has caused him to have a stilted gait. It does not slow him down too much; however, he would not be a collie to take on long runs or be able to jump or climb a lot of steps. He can do smaller amount of steps.

His weight will also have to be very controlled so he does not have even more trouble with movement. (this is very important).  Odin walks well on leash, rides in car and is housetrained. He is a beautiful soul.

Odin is being fostered in SE Michigan.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Odin, a Powell Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie for sale in Powell, or seeking a Collie dog from a breeder in Powell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Powell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Powell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie breeders who help with Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Powell paves the way for another one to be saved.
