Margarita is a young, pretty little Chiweenie that is just 11 pounds and full of love and curiosity.  This one year old girl loves and trusts quickly, she has been in her foster home for only 2 days and she is already jumping into the husband's lap and giving him kisses.  She gets along well with all the other dogs there.  She loves to play in the yard and does not try to dig out but she prefers being inside with someone who will hold her or let her sit beside them.  She is housetrained and seems to be able to run and jump into someone's arms though we are still working on completing the trick.  She does tend to scratch on the door when her fosters leave the house.  This could be just anxiety she is experiencing right now as her life is unsettled right now.  We hope it will subside with time and reassurance that she is not being left behind forever and abandoned.  Poor thing, we don’t know not what her previous life was life.  She was left a rural small town shelter in Tennessee.  There were no adopters for her and so Critter Cavalry Rescue stepped up to help get her out of a very stressful shelter situation that most small dogs do not handle well.  Because of her anxiety, she may need to be crated when the house is empty to make her feel secure.  She does very well in her kennel at night.  Margarita is a sweet little girl that's looking for a family that is ready to receive and give lots of love.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com

About Critter Cavalry Rescue New England - VT

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Companion Rescue give them a chance to have a life?

Our Adoption Process...

Most all our dogs are fostered in Tennessee and transport up to the Northeast or New England. Our fees start at $500 and can be higher depending on the dog and circumstances for their vetting. All fees cover the health certificate, transportation up to designated places for families to pick up their pre-adopted dog, spay/neuter, rabies, all shots, fecal and dewormings, microchip, complete vet check up and 4 way heartworm test if dogs are older than 8 months.
