Hello!! My name is Barney, and I am a handsome, 5-year-old, black and white Lab mix weighing 75-pounds. I'm a big guy with an even bigger personality! Just take one look at my goofy grin and you'll find a smile on your face, too. I came to the SPCA of Texas on April 4 when I was rescued by an Animal Cruelty Investigator. Not much is known about my past, but I'm not letting anything hold me back from living life to the fullest. I love going on walks, playing outside and staying active. Once I've gotten in my daily workout, I enjoy hanging out with people and getting lots of attention - belly rubs are my favorite! I'll even sleep at your feet and keep you company on lazy days at home. I'd be happiest with a family who will have plenty of time to spend with me because I just want to be loved! I can be a little choosier when it comes to my canine companions, so please bring any other dogs you have for a meet and greet with me to see if we get along. If you're looking for a happy-go-lucky guy to play and cuddle with, I'm the one for you! I have been neutered, microchipped and have received all age-appropriate vaccinations. I am heartworm positive, but thanks to generous donors, my treatments will be FREE at any Metroplex-area VCA Animal Hospital. My adoption fee is only $25, so what are you waiting for? Come meet me today!
