A160456 Meet Zoa! This 1 1/2 year old, 50 lb Plott Hound mix exemplefies exactly WHY we should never judge a book by it''s cover. Some dogs aren''t cut out for shelter life, and Zoa certainly wasn''t meant to ever be in a small concrete kennel. She was owner surrendered through no fault of her own in the end of May, and we realized immediately that she was going to be a hard placement. She HATED it here. Some of the words used to describe her in a kennel were `gnashing`, `anxious`, `thrashing`, `difficult.` She seemed to have no `off` button. In just a few hours with her foster, we''re hearing the same words her former owner used to describe her. Words like `treat-motivated`, `housebroken`, `calm in car`, `knows commands.` She''s also reportedly good with children (she slept with the 3 year old in her former home.) We can''t wait to learn more about who the `real` Zoa is, and can''t wait to share it with you. We can''t wait to know who her next family will be. Could it be you?

Update on Zoa''s likes/dislikes: She LOVES to play fetch (balls, sticks, you name it!) She LOVES to play with other dogs, she is VERY active, so will need an active owner but will nap in the house while you''re gone and is housebroken!
