Hyde's Story...
Meow! I'm Hyde! I have a twin brother named Jeckyl. My mother is here in the shelter too, named Snowball. We were rescued from a trapping project at Reid-Hillview airport. The people said that they could pet us, but we've been a bit shyer since we've been in the shelter. Even though Jeckyl and I are nearly identical, we are different in personality. I'm very outgoing, and come around begging for turkey all the time! I watch the volunteers come in, and am always running around. However, I'm still a bit shy. My brother Jeckyl is less outgoing - he tends to mostly hang out in one of the condos. Although he's still nervous too, he found out he loves to be petted, and purrs up a storm.

Our mother Snowball (who looks like us but with a much fainter mark on the head) is still very shy....

We'd really like to meet you, if you are interested in helping us become more friendly! The volunteers have seen a tremendous change in us in the last month, and think we'll become much friendlier kitties with patience (Jeckyl is already nearly there). So, why don't you arrange to meet us and see what you think?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hyde, a Morgan Hill Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Morgan Hill, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Morgan Hill.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Morgan Hill already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Morgan Hill breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Morgan Hill paves the way for another one to be saved.
