Lindsay's Story...
Lindsay is a gorgeous, 1-year-old dilute tortoiseshell with the softest fur. She was found as a stray in southern New Jersey and taken to a local county shelter, where she gave birth to 6 babies on March 8, 2017. Kitkat Playroom rescued Lindsay and her 6 Scottish Tots when they were only 2 days old.

She is done being a mom and is ready to spend her time enjoying life as a housekitty! Lindsay absolutely LOVES frequent head and back rubs, which is purrfect because it’s hard not to pet her super soft fur. She isn’t shy to make new friends and will greet strangers with head butts and chirps, looking for you to give her attention. She will climb right into your lap, put her little paws on your chest, meow at you, and let you know she wants some petting!

She’s also still young and enjoys playing with her toys! Her favorite toys include little mousies that she can bat and chase, and anything with strings. She leaps in the air to catch toys and rolls around on the floor with her catnip socks.

Lindsay has had mixed reactions to other cats. She might be okay with other pets, but we cannot be sure so we recommend she be an only cat where she can claim your lap all for herself. For a multi-cat house, we would highly recommend slow introductions in separate rooms over an extended period of time.

Lindsay is spayed, microchipped, rabies/FVRCP vaccinated, FIV/FelV negative, flea-treated, and dewormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lindsay, a Woodbury Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Woodbury, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Woodbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Woodbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Woodbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Woodbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
