The product of an unplanned pregnancy that went terribly wrong, our little Angel was born on March 28 and came to us through a friend of the rescue. Labour did not go well for Angel’s mom, leaving her owners several thousand dollars poorer for emergency vetting, and with just two puppies surviving out of a litter of nine (food for thought for those who think it would be “fun” to breed their dogs). Angel’s parents are friendly, social and calm Pit Bull Terriers, and it’s evident that these traits have been passed along. She’s in great hands with our experienced puppy fosters Janice and Peter, who are keeping her well socialized with their dogs and teaching her basic house manners. Angel is very smart and already well on her way to doing her business outside, and is a big hit with her foster siblings. We don’t expect to receive an application from Mr. Coderre but needless to say, we will ensure that she is adopted into a breed-friendly community so please be aware of your municipal regulations before applying. We will be selective as usual, and are looking for adopters who are home at least part of the day in order to meet the needs of an active puppy. Please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website if you’re interested in offering Angel a forever home.
