Freddy is available for foster or adoption. We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for fosters! Freddy is currently fostered in Dade City.

Freddy is a 2-year-old mixed breed - the vet says Australian cattle dog, and we see smooth collie in both him and his brother. He is the smaller of the two, at about 37 lbs currently. He will likely be in the 45 lb range when he is up to a healthy weight. Freddy is a really nice boy, energetic and playful. He could do sports. He spent most of his life outside in a kennel but is doing well learning the life of an indoor dog. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home and is very friendly and loving toward people. He does have a good amount of herding drive. Freddy is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, heartworm negative and microchipped. He will make a wonderful dog for some lucky family or person.

About Ewenity Farm Herding Dog Haven

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one on one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are a highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.

It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Since all rescue dogs live in our homes with us or in foster homes, you will need to travel to meet any dog you might want to adopt.

You will need to contact Ewenity Farms HDH to make arrangements to meet the rescue dog.

Our Adoption Process...

We require potential adopters to fill out an Adoption Application. When that is approved we can arrange for the prospective adopter to meet the dog they are interested in. We do require an adoption contract to be signed at time of adoption. We conduct home visits. There is an adoption fee that is usually around $250 per dog to cover any expenses we have incurred. We do have dogs located at qualified fosters throughout the state and also out of state.
