My story

"I'm ALVIN, a fun-loving, happy-all-the-time fellow who's affectionate and engaging. I'm a five-year-old pit bull terrier mix who's a great size, and everyone tends to think that I'm just a big puppy. I love people, and you'll see that out in the play yard when you come to visit me. I've been completely quiet here at the shelter so far. Maybe it's just not in my nature to bark at people because I view everyone as a new friend. I'm the kind of dog who'll be a great companion and a true member of the family. I'll be good with kids, and I'd prefer to be the only dog in my home. I know how to sit on command, and I'd love to spend time learning whatever else you'd like to teach me. I respond well to positive reinforcement, such as treats and praise, and I'll cherish any time that we can spend together. I want to be the best boy I can so that you'll be pleased with me and love me forever. I hope you'll visit me soon here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter.
