Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tater's story is heart-breaking, but we are confident that it will have a happy ending. This boxer mix was surrendered at a shelter and subsequently adopted, her unspayed status somehow slipping through the cracks. Some time later, she was dumped at a shelter again, shortly after she gave birth to a litter of puppies, at the advanced age of 8! Her puppies were taken away from her and sold, and then she was abandoned because she was no longer profitable. She was heart-broken and depressed, literally cried for the whole first night at her temporary foster's house, and then sat at the window searching for her lost family for days.
But dogs are resilient, and amazingly forgiving. With a lot of love and care, Tater has come back into her own in this next chapter of her story. She's interested in life again, which for her means lots of cuddles and relaxation. She's good with everyone she comes into contact with, including children, cats and other dogs. Tater is crate trained and house trained, and just generally a sweet, gentle soul. What she needs now is a foster, or preferably an adopter, who will just let her follow them everywhere and let her sit on their lap on the couch. Tater has been dumped, she has had her puppies ripped away from her, and then been dumped again, but she holds no grudges. Could you be the person that will give her that happy ending?
