WOW!!! A mere 10 weeks off transport and she is a completely different girl. Neeley is a gorgeous 11-month-old pit-mix weighing in at 44 pounds. House and crate trained; she has full reign of the house, loves her toys and keeps herself hilariously occupied. Neeley is crate trained but we hardly use it.
Neeley treats kids as people puppies. She bonds with and loves to be around children of all ages. Her Nanny and motherly instincts have been obvious. When our grandchildren (7 and 19 months) are here she sits/lays quietly nearby while watching very alertly. She has attempted to engage them by bringing them a ball and dropping it alongside of them while nosing it to them. She has hung out with and played fetch with very young children even being walked around on a lead. By the way, she is great on a leash whether using a Martingale collar or the Freedom Harness.
She loves to play and has an incredible zest for life and eagerness to explore the unknown. She gets along with other dogs and has shown little to no interest in cats, squirrels or birds. At the most she displayed a curious observation watching birds and squirrels from her favorite spot in the bay window. There has been no indication of prey drive, dog or food aggression. Her and the family dog Dakota sleep, eat, train and play together every day.
Neeley is a medium to high energy girl who is very athletic; loves to walk, run, jump, hike, swim and play fetch. She also enjoys her down time cuddling up when the time is right; she’ll drop anything she is doing to get her face in the wind and take a ride. She also loves her people and wants them nearby. She has been spayed, micro-chipped and is up-to-date on her vaccines.
If you’re an active person who loves the outdoors and are looking for a fur-ever friend to share your adventures with Neeley is the girl for you. To apply to be Neeley's co-pilot, jogging/walking/hiking partner, ball or stick thrower, and cuddler extraordinaire, contact Potter's Angels Rescue.

About Potter's Angels Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Potter’s Angels Rescue (PAR) is an animal rescue group based out of the New England area that is dedicated to placing unwanted or neglected animals in loving and everlasting homes. With the economy the way it is, we are getting more and more requests for finding homes for animals that are being left behind by their owners due to moving, increased work hours, lack of time for the dog or the inability to afford the dog and it’s vet care. We also assist local animal control officers in placing our local stray population, as well as responding to neglect and cruelty complaints.
Here at PAR, we do require that all animals are spayed/neutered and made current on all their vaccinations before being placed for adoption, which is why we request an adoption fee.
Our main goal is to make sure the animals that we come across make it in to homes where they are well loved and taken care of throughout the rest of their lives. It is a very sad thing to witness the emotions that an animal goes through when they are removed from their family and we would hate to think of them going somewhere that was anything less than a loving home.

Our foster pets reside in loving foster homes before they are adopted. On occasion we have special events in which you can meet some of them.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption Fees
Puppies 12 months of age and younger: $350 (Puppies adopted out that are under 12 weeks of age will not have been vaccinated against Rabies. The adopter will need to be responsible for getting them vaccinated.)
Dogs 13 months-6 years: $300
Dogs 6-8 years: $200
Over 8 years- donation of your choosing
Kittens 12 months and under: $100
Cats 13 months-5 years: $85
Cats 6-9 years: $50
Cats 10+ years: Donation of your choosing
All other species: Donation of your choosing
Unfortunately there is no such thing as a “free” animal. ALL animals need some kind of medical attention at some point in their lives. Our adoption fee for dogs includes spay/neuter surgery, Rabies vaccine, Distemper vaccine, Bordatella vaccine, precautionary deworming, microchip with registration, flea treatment (if necessary), heartworm test (if necessary), and a heartworm preventative. Cats receive spay/neuter surgery, Rabies vaccine, FVRCP vaccine, FeLV/FIV test, precautionary deworming, flea treatment (if necessary). Depending on which vet is used, our animals’ medical needs can cost upwards of $500, just for the procedures listed above. Other animals may require dental care, prescription medications or diets, or long-term intensive nursing.

Before you fill out an application please be sure that a Rescue is the option through which you are going to choose to add an addition to your family. We are all volunteers at Potter’s Angels Rescue- most with full time jobs and families in addition to volunteering and going through the entire adoption process with an applicant that then purchases a dog takes up a fair amount of precious time. We would like our volunteers to focus their efforts and time on those applicants that are serious in helping a rescued animal.
Here at Potters Angels Rescue, we strive to adopt our animals out to the best matches possible for them. This means that an animal other than the one who initially catches your eye may be a better fit for your home and lifestyle.
Our policy is to adopt to people that are 21years of age or older. This is not a first come/first served procedure as we take great care in matching our dogs to prospective homes. Please be aware that a representative will contact you as soon as possible when you either make an inquiry or complete an application, however ‘as soon as possible’ does not mean immediately nor an exact amount of time as we are volunteers. It means just that- as soon as we possibly can.
After the references have been checked on your application, you can expect a call from one of our representatives as soon as we can. This is in order to address any concerns regarding your application and gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have thought of since completing the application. After this a home visit will be scheduled with a representative and the adopter. It is required that and everyone in the household be present including the 4 legged members. If possible this will also be when the potential adopter meets the dog; although occasionally due to distance that will require a second meeting.
If you have found a specific animal you are interested in, please list the animal on the application. If you have questions about a specific animal, please send us an e-mail at We will then have the animal’s foster parent get in contact with you.
We are emotionally tied to the animals we rescue and remain committed to the animals and their adoptive families for their life. If there is a problem in keeping the adopted animal at any time during their life, we require that the animal come back to us for re-homing.
Additionally, if there are problems or concerns with the health or well being of an animal, we are there to help the adoptive family with the support they require.
