Raisin's Story...
This little kitten was almost lunch for a hawk!
Seriously…The woman who found her walked outside to her backyard with the hawk swooping around trying to collect the lunch it had dropped. She scooped up the kitten (whom we have been calling “Raisin” and sometimes “Lemmy") and brought her inside. She is about 8 weeks old. This is the sweetest, purr-iest little kitten EVER. She loves people and is such a little snuggler. Impossible to express how adorable and sweet this little girl is. She has zero fear of people and just wants to cuddle in your lap. Gets along well with other animals (we have two cats and she’s not afraid of them). She follows you around and loves nothing more than to be close to her human. She crawled in my lap and looked up at me while I wrote this. Just a little furry nugget of pure love. She’s already litter box trained, has had her first round of vaccinations and a clean bill of health. We would keep her if we didn’t already have two of our own kitties. Come and meet her today and you’ll fall in love just like we have!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Raisin, a Los Angeles Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
