The name Rainbow fits this sweet, shy, Rat Terrier mix that is just 2 year old, 14 pound girl because she has the personality of a rainbow that is filled with color and delight. Once Rainbow gets to trust you she can be silly, sweet, mischievous and a cuddle bug all within a short period of time. Rainbow acts like a puppy in that she loves to play with her toys especially when someone else is joining in the fun. She loves to romp around the fenced yard with the other dogs once she gets to know them. She is learning quickly that shoes are not toys and a gentle 'no' will remind her to put the shoe down and find something else to play with. She can be very clever at finding a hole to slip through so a solid fence is a must. The couple of times she got out of her quarantine yard she came straight to the front door to be let in where the action was going on. Because of her past she can be very skittish of men at first and needs time to adjust and build trust. It seems a man may have been mean to her in the past and she prefers to stay close to what is familiar and safe. Rainbow is a delight and with patience and gentleness the right person will be able to bring out the many beautiful 'colors' this little girl has to offer.
