It's challenging to write a bio on a girl as perfect as LULA! She is a lady in every sense of the word. She has an infectious sparkle in her eyes and is lovely towards everyone she meets. She is a kind and tolerant girl as you can see from her “princess dress up” pictures. LULA is always up for snuggle time, but also really enjoys playing as well. Her absolute favorite thing might be going on walks. She is great on leash and is a terrific car passenger. She is so good in fact, her foster family brought her along on their vacation to the mountains. Of course, she was a joy of a traveling companion. LULA is house trained, crate trained, and knows not to chew on things that don’t belong to her.
LULA’s fabulous personality doesn’t end with stealing the hearts of humans. She is wonderful with other dogs as well. She shares her foster home with 3 large dogs and one tiny fellow. In addition, she visits the dog park and has multiple friends in the neighborhood. She doesn’t currently live with any kitties, but we can introduce her to some if her perfect home includes feline family members. LULA is fun, loyal, and affectionate. She is one of those rare, special dogs who immediately connects with everyone she encounters in a way that is almost magical. The forever family lucky enough to welcome this two year old princess home will get their very own real-life fairy tale for years to come!

LULA is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations.
Her $300 adoption fee includes her cost of transport after she is adopted.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LULA, a Nashville Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Boxer for sale in Nashville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Boxer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
