Willow II's Story...
Hello there everyone, my name is Willow. I'm an 8 year old girl and I weigh 77 pounds. My owner moved away and surrendered me to a shelter. That was very scary for me and I was pretty sad. The shelter asked if AGB could take me and they came and got me right away. It's a good thing too because they found out I have heartworms and I needed to be treated right away. I also had an ear infection and I'm having some issues with one of my eyes so they are sending me to a special eye doctor for dogs. I'm sweet and loving and I enjoy car rides. I want nothing more than to be loved and I will give you 10 times as much love in return. I hope you will submit an application to adopt and ask to meet me, Willow. PS...AGB has set up a special fund for my medical bills. If you could make a donation of any size it sure would make me feel better. Thank you for caring!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Willow II, a BIRMINGHAM Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in BIRMINGHAM, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in BIRMINGHAM.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in BIRMINGHAM already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a BIRMINGHAM breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in BIRMINGHAM paves the way for another one to be saved.
