My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the adorable, little Melody!!! So this cutie isn't exactly a Dobie...at least not a purebred but we couldn't turn her away once she was brought to us, knowing what her fate would likely be. She was so incredibly sweet that we knew she would be worth it. Melody went straight to our vet and had an FHO so she could learn to properly use her injured leg again. It's taken some time but her rehab has gone well and she is finally starting to regain muscle in that leg. Her ordeal never slowed her town and she has continued to be a charming, playful and full of life girl throughout. Melody is on the smaller side, only about 2 years old and very social. She loves people, eagerly greets everyone she meets and gets around with other dogs of both genders. She would actually make an amazing family dog! Now Melody does have a couple of bad habits that will need a little work but we are hoping to find someone who can help overcome them. She does enjoy chewing and without proper outlets, she sometimes chooses the wrong things to chew on. She needs proper chew toys and will need a bit of a watchful eye so she doesn't get herself in trouble when left alone. Her other bad habit is her "alert bark". She isn't a ferocious guard dog but she will let you know if there is something she considers "fishy" outside so the proper yard set up would be needed to cut down on the noise. Preferably a backyard without a clear view of the street so she can relax and not get amped up by outside stimuli. Flaws aside, Melody is darling and ready for a forever home where she can finally be a part of a loving family.
