Ziggy's Story...
1 ½ years old
Ziggy was signed over to our shelter when his previous owner could no longer afford to keep him. His previous owner did let us know that he has been housebroken, does well with children, playful with other dogs and even likes cats. Ziggy is a fun loving playful guy who is all about fetch and belly rubs. He would love a huge forever family with a great big back yard to play in and lots of people to chase after and love on. Ziggy is a happy playful goof ready for his second chance at a forever family

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ziggy, a Fruit Heights Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Fruit Heights, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Fruit Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fruit Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fruit Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fruit Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
