My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for security, comfort and love? Well, I'm just the doggy to give it to you! I'm BLANKET, a one year old 14lb Pug/Chihuahua boy who's looking for my forever family! I'm a cheerful boy who likes to lick my humans and ask them for snuggles. I'm not shy about investigating my space and like to explore the outside world.

Here's what my foster mommy says about me:

"There's only one word to describe Blanket, ENTHUSIASM! He's a very happy boy, so full of joy that you can't help but be happy around him. He sometimes looks like he's going to go mad with happiness, so you'll just laugh at his expression as his tongue just seems way too big for his mouth and little body. He loves his walks and will bring his harness when he really wants to go out. He does pull on leash, so can benefit from some training. He does bark at people and dogs when he sees them, but it's just to let them know that he's here and wants to be friends. He's learning his basic commands now, and can sit. His favourite thing to do is to lick your face nonstop and copy what his fur brother does (which sometimes includes chasing the cat). He's not fond of the crate, and would love it if he were allowed to sleep at the foot of the bed. He will also sleep on a bed on the floor, and he may drag over a laundry item to snuggle with. He's a good sleeper (and sometimes a loud one) and will snooze until you get up. We're still working on his housetraining, but he has done very well so far and it's looking like he'll be finished soon. He also loves treats of all kinds, and so will be easy to train. All in all, he's a really fun dog and any family that adopts him will be so lucky to have this sweet baby."

Don't I sound great? I'd do best in a home with a family and a fenced in backyard to explore. No condos please, I like to make myself heard when I'm in the backyard, especially if I think there are invaders like pesky squirrels! I'd just be great as part of any family!
