Joker is about 3 years old and 109 pounds. Joker, also known as Thunder, is a very smart, loving, and cuddly dog who is adjust ing great to his foster home.
He lays on the couch and likes to be near his people. In the yard, he is very playful. He is quiet in the home and likes to sleep a lot. He recently has showed interest in chewing on elk antlers and toys . He will fetch shoes when people are not home and lie on them, but has never chewed anything inappropriate. Adorable!
Joker is shy of men and teenage boys right now, but never reactive. His foster family is working on this with continued positive exposure and is doing great! He also is not quite sure of himself yet when meeting new people and will follow his humans closely when there is a lot of commotion.
This big love bug is able to jump a 4-foot fence easily! It will be important for his future family to make sure he is leashed or attended always so he doesn't try to go on a lone adventure around town. His favorite things to do are go for walks and cuddle on the couch. He is potty trained and goes only outside. He has learned the word “Wait” before going outside. So smart!
Joker is a great boy! His foster home loves his mild, relaxed personality and adore him. He will be a wonderful addition to the perfect home!
Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.

Please understand that all of our pets are in foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please email us to confirm attendance.
All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications and fill out a foster application.
Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets. All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet. All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
