Peanut Schultz's Story...
Peanut is a very sweet girl who actually ended up giving birth in a high kill shelter. She is a great mama to her 9 surviving pups, all who were rescued by YLDR. Mama Peanut has found herself in boarding with her 9 pups and is currently looking for a loving foster home for her and her family for the next 3+ weeks, and then the pups can be paired and fostered in other foster homes after they turn 6 weeks old.

Peanut is a terrier mix, approximately 20 pounds, estimated DOB is Nov 2016. Once she is finished nursing her pups, she will be spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Alpharetta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Alpharetta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Alpharetta paves the way for another one to be saved.
