Facts about Mr. Buttons

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Tiger Striped
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
MR. BUTTONS is a four and a half old grey tabby male cat. Mr. Buttons was found in a residential neighborhood that experiences a high-turnover in renters. We suspect Mr. Buttons was a family cat at one time, and possibly abandoned. His foster parent advises us when he bonds with you, he bonds! Mr. Buttons loves to sleep next to his foster parent at night, and has a particular fondness for soft blankets. During the day Mr. Buttons loves to play with his toy mice, and wave string in front of Mr. Buttons, and he’s all over it! Mr. Buttons is a big boy, with soft and puffy fur that adorns him well. If you’re looking for a loving, affectionate and playful companion, come meet Mr. Buttons!

At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV, and a fecal test.

About PAAWS RI

About Our Shelter...

The mission of PAAWS RI is to provide services to Rhode Island’s most vulnerable populations of animals, through two specific programs.

The first part of our mission is to maintain a shelter/rescue program. Stray and abandoned animals have limited options for treatment through traditional veterinarians and shelters.

PAAWS RI will fill this gap with our shelter/rescue program and provide these homeless animals with shelter, medical care and rehabilitation. Once these animals are returned to
optimal health they will be adopted out to their forever home.

Many cats and dogs are suffering with easily treatable problems because affordable veterinary care is unavailable. We will fill that void with our program to provide funding for medical and surgical services. Recipients of these subsides will be animals belonging to low-income pet owners and shelter groups. Services include preventative and sick animal care, surgical and dental procedures, vaccinations and spay/neuter surgeries.
