My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bruce just returned from 12 weeks of training at the Grafton Correctional Institute and is now a proud Prison Graduate. He has been trained in basic commands, obedience, manners, proper leash walking and house training. Bruce is back at Friendship and waiting for his forever home. Hurry because Prison Grads don't last long...especially the ones as nice as Bruce!

Meet sweet Bruce! He's a 1.5 year old hound mix that was surrendered to Friendship because the other dogs in his home were mean to him. Bruce lived with 2 other dogs (the problem was the other dogs not Bruce's) and also lived with a cat. He was very curious about the cat but never aggressive. This social butterfly is house trained and has manners in the home. Bruce has lots of energy too. He would wake the children in the morning for school by going to their bed and pawing and wagging his tail in their face. He was never crated because a family member was usually home and he always had manners while in the home. He loves stuffed toys and enjoys destroying them. Bruce was adopted and returned before he went to prison because he played too rough with the 5 year old in the family. He is now looking for an active family with older kids to call his own where he can be top dog! Bruce was adopted for one day and returned...he played too rough with the 5 year old and cat in the family.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
