My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bandit is a gentle, sensitive, fun, extremely sweet and playful four-year-old, 50-pound, male Swiss Mountain Dog/Beagle-mix looking for a loving guardian.

Bandit sits on command and takes treats very gentle. He loves to go for walks and is great in the car. Pull out a tennis ball and Bandit is incredibly happy and playful!

Bandit is well-behaved in the home. He sleeps in a dog bed, is perfectly housebroken and his family has never felt the need to crate him.

Bandit has lived in a foster home with other dogs, but currently is living as the one and only dog in the home. Unfortunately, as he has become more comfortable in his home (seven months) he has become very reactive to other dogs, and protective of his home and people. For this reason, he is being re-homed.

Bandit has been absolutely lovely with the three and seven-year-old children in the home, but they don’t always remember to shut doors and gates which poses a risk.

Bandit is looking for a family with a home with a securely fenced yard. He’s not aggressive with cats, but perhaps a bit over-exuberant!

Bandit is very healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly prevention. His adoption fee of $250 benefits the Famous Fido Rescue.
