Zinnia's Story...
Zinnia is one of 6 Rat terrier puppies born in rescue after their mom was pulled from a life of having puppies in a mill. At the moment she is 6 weeks old, and will be ready to leave for her new home at 9 weeks. She is a friendly outgoing puppy who love toys. She is calm and laid back, but will find the biggest toy to carry around with her. She loves to play and wrestle with her siblings and the other dogs in her foster home. Her foster has been working hard on socialization so she can grow up to be a happy social puppy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zinnia, a Decatur Rat Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Decatur, or seeking a Rat Terrier puppy from a breeder in Decatur.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Decatur already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Decatur breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Decatur paves the way for another one to be saved.
