Chubbs's Story...
Chubs is anything but chubby. He is a tiny 3 year, old 7 pound Chihuahua and could use a few more groceries on board. Chubs is not a typical Chihuahua, he isn’t snarky at all and loves to give kisses. Chubs is a social butterfly and happily meets new people, dogs, and cats. He is a young guy so he alternates between playing and napping on a lap. Chubs loves to be carried around and snuggled.
Chubs came into rescue because he was dumped. We know he spent most of his life on a chain outside, his people decided they no longer wanted him and dumped him in the county. This little guy is so loyal that he hung out where he was dumped for two days waiting for them to come back.
Chubs is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested. He just needs a family of his own. Because Chubs is tiny, his forever home should not have children under 10.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chubbs, a Lisbon Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Lisbon, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Lisbon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lisbon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lisbon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lisbon paves the way for another one to be saved.
