Unfortunately, Sheena lost her home after nearly 4 years because she could just no longer live with the other female dogs in the home. Though she peacefully got along with the multiple female dogs most of the time, she had some issues every once and a while when she got overstimulated or excited. Sheena is about 5 years old now and a bit of an anxious girl but very affectionate with people she knows and trusts. She is also extremely smart and competed in obedience trials, picking up on commands extremely well and quickly. We actually think Sheena is a wonderful girl but she will need just the right home so she doesn't find herself back in our kennels again. She can live with another dog but it has to be a male and she needs a low stress home without a lot of outside stimulation. She also needs careful handling around strangers visiting because she takes her role as a protector seriously. If in the right environment, Sheena will be a loyal, well behaved and affectionate companion so we're hoping to set her up for success and find the perfect home where she can thrive. Because of her history we cannot place her in a home with children. Sheena is now at the rescue in Fillmore, ca so if you have any questions then please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 805-524-5102.
We are a non-profit, no-kill rescue/sanctuary specializing in dobermans but also rescuing small dogs. Most of our dogs come from animal shelters before they are euthanized and are given a second chance at a new home.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We are located on a small ranch nestled in the orchards of Fillmore, ca. We are open every saturday from 11:00am-3:00pm for open house adoptions. We can arrange weekday or sunday visits by appointment as well.
Our Adoption Process...
We ask that you bring the whole family (including the four legged) so we can best match you with the right dog. Once you have found your new companion we will have you fill out a one page adoption agreement. We ask a donation of $250-$350 for a doberman and generally $150-$250 for a little dog. All dogs go home spayed or neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, with a collar, ID tag, and de-wormer.
