My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blue tick beagle, female, 6 ears, 42 lbs.
Maci has very good house manners and is completely house-broken. She takes treats nicely, although she doesn’t always eat them – she does love baby carrots, though! Maci knows basic commands, like sit, down and come (as much as a beagle will come when called….) She sits politely and waits for her foster mom to get her boots and coat on before a walk. She walks very happily on leash, but will pull at first because Maci LOVES to use her beagle nose! After a few minutes, she walks nicely and looks up periodically at you and you can see her smiling, she loves that time. She uses her crate for naps and in the car, it seems to give her a feeling of security. Maci LOVES to play chase around the house, baying loudly and smiling! She play bows and runs so fast, but the zoomies only last about 5 minutes before she is winded and just wants to sit and snuggle. She is a total bundle of love, and really only wants to be with her “special someone”. If you are working on the computer or in the kitchen, she’ll just be sitting or lying near you. Maci ignores the cat in her foster home, but seems to be a little picky about her canine friends, and would need to meet a resident dog to check for compatibility. We think she’d be best with a dog her size or larger, and would be absolutely thrilled to be an only dog. Maci will be an extremely dedicated, loyal, sweet loving companion for someone.

Or visit our site (http://peppertree.org/adoptlist.php) and learn about other Peppertree dogs. *Note: visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
