My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Emma and and her sister Ellie are beautiful girls. They are friendly, great with people and other dogs. They was born around April 1st, 2017. Based on current weights and age, we are guessing they will grow to be a medium, but on the small side of medium, as an adult. Possibly 25-40 pounds....but that's just a guess. They are great with other dogs, children, but we don't know about kitties as the foster doesn't have any. They are fairly calm as far as puppies go. Their brothers, now adopted, barked when they saw kitties, but never chased or was aggressive.

The girls were an owner surrender from a family in Kentucky who had an accidental litter. Mom is being spayed. They have adorable short legs and a long body thus the reason we think they may have some Dachshund in them.

If you are gone 6+ hours a day, a puppy is not the right match for you. Puppies can't be crated for more then a few hours at a time as they can't hold it, they need exercise as they get older, continued socialization, and it's not good for puppies to be crated all day long if no one is home. A 30-45 minute break at lunch is not enough out of crate time for puppy during the day. If you would consider doggy daycare that would be an option if your gone all day, and please include the information of who you will be using on your application.

This pup is being fostered in a South Aurora, IL home, which is where you and your family would go to meet them. All family members, including 4-legged dogs, must be present at the meet and greet to adopt. In order to schedule a meet and greet, please submit and adoption application which can be found on-line at http://angelsonwheels.org/canine-adoption-application/ . Once we receive the application we will process.

Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but is required prior to making arrangements for a meet and greet as all of our animals are cared for in homes. We can't schedule meet and greets until the application is submitted and approved. We don't have a building so there are no viewing hours. All of our animals are cared for in foster homes by wonderful families who volunteer their time to save these precious souls. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The adoption fee of $300.00 includes:
Spaying which we pay for when the pup is older and you will receive a coupon

You will receive a free spay/neuter coupon for one of our participating vets to have your pup fixed when the time comes, and we do ask for a fully refundable $100.00 spay/neuter deposit. The foster will go into more detail with you at the meet and greet.

You will receive a free health exam visit to either Crest Hill Cat and Dog Clinic, Yorkville Animal Hospital, Midwest Animal Hospital in Orland Park, Springbrook Animal Hospital,Countryside Animal Clinic of Carol Stream or Naperville Animal Hospital.

Although we make the best guess on the breed and size of our dogs, because they come from shelters or are strays, we can never be completely certain of the genetic makeup of the dog. Breed and weight at maturity are only guesses. All we can tell you for sure is that they are 100% RESCUED! If an animal is still posted for adoption, he/she is still available. If you see this this post, this puppy is available for adoption so there is no need to email asking about availability.

Thank you for looking at our rescued animals!
