We would like you to meet Atlas. Atlas is a pure Asian Shepherd also known as Central Asian Ovtcharka. This breed is one of the oldest breed in dog history. He looks like a POLAR BEAR . However, they are very rare here in the US. Atlas has all the traits and temperament that is common and prevalent in this breed. He is a giant baby and loves his owners. However, he is NOT GOOD with other dogs or any four legged animals. Based on his breed he is more of a protector against other animals but LOVES every person he has ever met. He is wonderful with children and adult and a guardian for his owner or animal that he is guarding. We are working on socializing Atlas. He loves to have his belly rubbed . He is so gorgeous!!!! He is a gorgeous boy that loves to be petted and brushed. He came to us from a kill shelter . He is doing great !!!! You may notice in the pictures his ears and tail have been docked. The docking in very common to this breed. If you have wanted a giant breed and one of the most beautiful dogs you will ever meet, please consider meeting Atlas. He currently weights 170-190 pounds . He is as large as or larger than a Great Dane in height. He has to be the only animal, no dogs and no cats. This breed, puppies range from $800 to $2000 for a puppy. however our adoption donations for Atlas is $250.00 to the right person or family. THIS IS NOT A DOG YOU CAN TAKE TO A DOG PARK OR TAKE FOR A WALK. He is unbelievably strong and can pull most humans down. He is approximately 3 years old. healthy, heartworm negative, neutered who is just looking for that perfect person.

In concern for families with small children, we will not adopt a dog to a home with any child under the age of 10. This is due to the large size of Atlas and the safety of your children. Our dogs are not aggressive or mean in any way, they can just knock down children easily. If you would like to visit Atlas please contact St. Cloud's Rescue at or call 972-679-5319. About St Clouds Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

St. Cloud's Rescue is a 501c-3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing care and adoption services for Saint Bernards and other large breed dogs. Our dogs are not "for sale", nor do you "buy" them. They are available to be adopted for a donation. Before they leave our care all dogs are vaccinated, spayed/neutered and on all appropriate heartworm, tick, flea medications. We also do house checks of the potential adopters, check veterinary and personal references and do introductions.

St. Cloud’s Rescue is operated and run by Rosemary Adkins Cloud and her husband, Chuck. St Cloud’s operates without the benefit of foster homes. All the dogs live on the premises in McKinney, Texas. We house between 45-55 dogs at a time.

We rescue as many Saints as we can properly take care of from kill shelters in Texas, Oklahoma Louisiana and even as far away as Alabama and Georgia. We also take surrendered Saints so they do not end up in kill shelters. Our mission is to save as many of these magnificent dogs as we possibly can.

During 2014 we rehomed 64 dogs. We have been rescuing dogs since 2003 and have rehomed over 600 dogs.

We have placed 11 dogs in special need homes with children with autism or downs syndrome.

We use over 80 lb. of dog food a day and have vet bills during the year of over $20,000.

Any donation is appreciated in helping us continue to save the lives of so many animals.
Your donations are tax deductible.
