My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IDGSR WELCOMES FARLEY INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!!

Farley is a male puppy who is 9 weeks old. He was brought to a shelter when he was 8-10 days old, just him and no mom or littermates. IDGSR had already taken in a pregnant GS who had just given birth to puppies and when we brought Farley to the rescue, she accepted him as one of her own and he became part of the litter. We have no history on Farley but he most resembles a boxer with perhaps a little retriever also. Whatever he is Farley is pure cuteness and a great little guy.

Soon after he joined the litter and his eyes began to open soon after, we noticed something unusual with his left eye - it has since been determined that he is blind or has limited vision in this eye due to either some trauma, or perhaps some virus in utero passed from his mom. This does NOT slow Farley down a bit - He is a little lover, fun, out-going little pup that loves to be held until it's time to run. He's a smart boy, always looking for an adventure. He will be happiest with an out-going family that will include him in their adventures! He loves everyone he meets and is very playful!

Puppies are cute but they are also a blank slate and require a lot of time and attention. They will whine, have accidents, and chew on inappropriate things. A puppy obedience class helps with all of those things and helps them be the best grown-up dog they can be. Farley will be ready to go to his new home in a few weeks but applications are being accepted now.

If you would like to make this sweet pup a part of your family, please copy this link for the application.
