Indie (Dixon)'s Story...

Indie is a great little guy who is 7 years old. He's mellow for a JRT, and is happy just hanging out on your lap.

Indie is very loving and devoted to his family.  He can sit, sit pretty, stand, stand and turn (dance), lay down, show his belly, shake (and 'switch', he will switch paws), and wait for the 'O.K', before eating.

The best home for Indie is an adult home, or a home with children over 10 years old who have had a Jack Russell before in their life.  He probably would enjoy a home with a female buddy to keep him company when his humans aren’t there.

If you would like to know more about Indie, or meet him, please contact Lynn at Lynnbonham1@gmail.com, or go to our website at www.russellrescueca to fill out an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Indie (Dixon), a Carmichael Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Carmichael, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Carmichael.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carmichael already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carmichael breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carmichael paves the way for another one to be saved.
