Shenzi's Story...
Hi there, my name is Shenzi. I’m a young shepherd mix who had a rough start to life; I was living with a lot of dogs, but didn’t have much interaction with humans. As a result I can be extremely shy and loud noises scare me. Once I know my people and trust them I am very affectionate and love to snuggle. I play with toys once I relax in the home, and love to run around the yard with my dog friends. My foster mom says I’m the best to cuddle and watch tv with, but when I want to play I crack her up with my antics! I know I can be fun and playful, so now I just need a home and family that can help get me there! I would love another confident and playful dog sibling to help me come out of my shell, and will need a fenced in yard to keep me safe since I get spooked easily by noises outside. I am spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. My adoption fee is $200 please apply for me at www.rescueofhope.com!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shenzi, a Grand Rapids Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Grand Rapids, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Grand Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
