Skip is 6 ½ yrs old. He was surrendered to the Oregon Humane Society with a glowing proflile from the family who had him since a puppy. Assuming the family was moving and unable to bring Skip with them.
Skip was adopted to another family, and it was not a match. Skip simply needed more time to adjust. They reported that he barked a lot, it's unknown how long Skip was left alone during the day &/or what sounds or sights he may have been responding to when barking. The Humane Society adopter shared that Skip bit a 2yr old in the lip. The Humane Society was NOT told what preceded the bite. Two year olds are commonly just learning how to be respectful of dogs. Often little ones who are not being well supervised cannot pick up on the dog's warnings re: safe space. The Humane Society and Second Chance Dogs believe Skip was upset and struggling with a new transition.
He has been nothing but a sweet little doll at the Oregon Humane Society.
Second Chance Dogs is happy to team with everyone regarding getting Skip up to WA.
The adoption process starts with a phone call to Tanya, in Oregon.
Adoption donation to be discussed with interested party.
Time is of the essence.
