My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We would like to introduce you to VALENTINO--or VAL as he is known to his close friends. VAL is around 2 years old and we believe to be a Beagle/Pitbull mix. He was left abandoned on the side of Blairmont Rd in Adena with a bag of dog food he couldn't access with his buddy RUDY. VAL is a very sweet boy who was not only starving for food when he came to us but for attention as well. He has been eating up both. He walks easily and calmly on a leash and loves taking his time sniffing the world he is discovering. He has liked everyone he has met so far and gets along with most dogs and seems uninterested in the chickens he has met in his travels. VAL is currently at the local prison in Belmont County taking part in the cell dog training program where he is learning basic skills and tricks too. He is still available for adoption while he trains. Please call the pound to learn how you can meet VAL while he is in training.

Harrison County Dog Pound, 82900 Toot Rd. Cadiz, OH 740-942-4080. Hours: M-F 10AM-4PM; Sat. 9AM-2PM; Closed Sundays and Holidays. Adoption fee:$35 Adoption applications at the pound or online at www.harrisoncountydogpoundvolunteers.org
