Rikki's Story...

Rikki is one of the sweetest pups his foster mom has met. He is just a simple cuddle-bunny who loves being near his human at all times. Rikki was brought into the pound as a stray, so nobody knows a lot about his backstory but he is a calm, quiet, affectionate, submissive and perfect little boy. He loves to sneak his way over to human touch and would end up pressed up against you or on your lap. When he gets excited, his tail wags furiously and his tiny butt wiggles, sometimes he even spins in circles! He will make a great buddy for someone/family who are able to spend a lot of time at home; he prefers to be in a home with another small, calm dog and without young children since he is so Zen by nature. Whomever adopts Rikki will have many years of sweet companionship ahead.

[Rikki is 8 years old and weighs 5 lbs.]

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rikki, a Marina del Rey Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Marina del Rey, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Marina del Rey.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marina del Rey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marina del Rey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marina del Rey paves the way for another one to be saved.
