Twinkle, born approximately 4/10/17, is Starry's sister and is quite the kitten. Honestly, she has the sweetest disposition of any kitten. She has the endearing habit (although some might argue, "annoying") of being really nuzzly (I mean, REALLY nuzzly....ears, nose, neck..) She has been known, although not often, to leap off from a chair or couch in an attempt to jump on her human so be warned. If her nails are clipped, this is really cute. On the other hand, well, its still cute although a possible indication that her nails need trimming. Thankfully, Fluff Buddies provides free nail trimmings. And thankfully, the episodes dwindle. I believe its an initial attempt to get attention from her new home. Once secure, she knows how adorable she is and if you want affection and nuzzles, this is the girl for you. She really loves to be a part of her human's life so interactions are a must. Twinkle is still able to play on her own with any toys. A kitten buddy would be a really great idea for her, or an older kitty that still has some play left in them. Not a huge fan of dogs but is a bit more tolerant than her sibling, Starry although I am suspecting this will get better over time.

Adoption events are held at the Fair Oaks Petco (Madison at Hazel) on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Twinkle, a North Highlands Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in North Highlands, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in North Highlands.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Highlands already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Highlands breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Highlands paves the way for another one to be saved.
